Welcome to My Personal Page
From September 11th to November 11th, I will be joining Team TAPS participants from around the country in support of the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS). TAPS provides direct support to families who have been impacted by a death in the military regardless of the geography or circumstance.
Some will walk, some will run, some will bike, some will swim, and some may even dance. Together we will honor the life, love, and legacy of our fallen military heroes--while raising funds and awareness for TAPS.In 2008, I joined the TAPS family as a survivor and mentor in honor of SrA Richard England. He was assigned to 8th Air Force and when he died I was in shock and stuck. At his funeral when I met his mom she said "Thank You for being his Air Force Mom. He has told me everything you have done for him". On his birthday, I think about the life he didn't get to live. I remember all our conversations for the last two years of his life. We joked about his last name "England" because i was born in England. He had a sweet spirit and he was passionate about his job. He was a compassionate, humble, intelligent and walked in excellence. Each day, I thank GOD for placing Richard England in my life.
The funds I raise will flow directly into TAPS programming which supports these families through an amazing network of resources, seminars and publications. TAPS provides these services at no charge to survivors from all branches of the service, including Reserves and National Guard. TAPS’ programs and services are available not only for immediate family, but also for extended family and friends. Please help me honor our fallen heroes by supporting me in this effort. No donation is too big or too small.
Thank you!
