50 Marathons in 50 States for 50 Fallen Heroes
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!
On Sunday, JULY 15, 2018, I completed my 50-state tour by running the Missoula Marathon in Montana. Twelve years ago, I started my quest to run a marathon in all 50 states to honor our Fallen and their families. Running all 50 states, I have seen every corner of our beautiful country and met and learned from so many beautiful people. America is beautiful, and so are its Soldiers and their Families! And so is TAPS! I'm going to take a break now, but I will continue to run marathons, and I will always run for TAPS! Thanks to all who have supported me and TAPS these last twelve years!!
I am participating in a special fundraiser in support of the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS). TAPS provides direct support to families who have been impacted by a death in the military regardless of geography or circumstance.
I am a veteran of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. To honor my fallen comrades, I have made it a goal to run a marathon in each state in memory of a fallen soldier from that state. To date, I have run 57 marathons in 50 states and in Iraq and Afghanistan. Please donate at least a dollar for each mile I run to TAPS.
The funds I raise will flow directly into TAPS programming which supports these families through an amazing network of resources, seminars and publications. TAPS provides these services at no charge to survivors from all branches of the service, including Reserves and National Guard. TAPS’ programs and services are available not only for immediate family, but also for extended family and friends. Please help me honor our fallen heroes by supporting me in this effort. No donation is too big or too small.
Thank you!
