Hi! My name is Matti, and I will be participating in a special fundraiser in support of the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS). TAPS provides direct support to families who have been impacted by a death in the military regardless of geography or circumstance.

Growing up in a military family, I was raised among individuals who have selflessly dedicated their lives to service. Their example has deeply shaped who I am, and it's what inspires me to run in memory of my grandfather--my Nonno--a Marine who fought in World War II and took part in the landing on Iwo Jima. I also run to honor my father, brother, aunts, uncles, and cousins who have proudly served in the military. While this run is dedicated specifically to those we have lost, I remain deeply thankful for the service and sacrifice of all my loved ones in uniform. 

The funds I raise will flow directly into TAPS programming which supports these families through an amazing network of resources, seminars and publications. TAPS provides these services at no charge to survivors from all branches of the service, including Reserves and National Guard. TAPS’ programs and services are available not only for immediate family, but also for extended family and friends. Please help me honor our fallen heroes by supporting me in this effort.  No donation is too big or too small.
