On October 28, 2018 Team Seth Mitchell will be participating in the 43rd Annual Marine Corps Marathon Events in support of the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS). TAPS provides direct support to families who have been impacted by a death in the military regardless of geography or circumstance.

Some of us will run the 10K, some will walk, some will do the marathon.  All of us will be honored to participate and raise funds for TAPS.  Our personal experience with TAPS is one of gratitude for their compassion in leading us through the stages of grief.  On October 26, 2009 our oldest son was KIA in Afghanistan.  Seth, a Cobra helicopter pilot was flying to support a gound mission and was involved in a mid air collision resulting in 4 fatalities.  We will participate to honor Seth, his colleagues and all those who have died while serving our country.

The funds we will raise will flow directly into TAPS programming which supports these families through an amazing network of resources, seminars and publications. TAPS provides these services at no charge to survivors from all branches of the service, including Reserves and National Guard. TAPS’ programs and services are available not only for immediate family, but also for extended family and friends. Please help us honor our fallen heroes by supporting me in this effort.  No donation is too big or too small.

Thank you!
