This October, I will be participating in the Annual Marine Corps Marathon Events in support of the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS). TAPS provides direct support to families who have been impacted by a death in the military regardless of geography or circumstance.

The funds I raise will flow directly into TAPS programming which supports these families through an amazing network of resources, seminars and publications. TAPS provides these services at no charge to survivors from all branches of the service, including Reserves and National Guard. TAPS’ programs and services are available not only for immediate family, but also for extended family and friends. Please help me honor our fallen heroes by supporting me in this effort.  No donation is too big or too small. 

About a year ago I was assigned a casualty affairs call for a fallen Marine and assisted in providing the continuity for the services provided by the Marine Corps for the surviving family members. The one thing that I can never forget is the fact that the family lost a son, a brother, a cousin and a soon to be uncle. No one can ever say or do anything to make the situation better, but TAPS was an organization that helped support the family in their time of need. 

There were a few other charity organizations that I could have chosen to run with, but I know TAPS is a huge participant in supporting families in their time of need. I may be the name on this page for the fundraising, but it will be your donations that make the impact.
