Welcome to My Personal Page
On October 22, 2017, I will be participating in the 42nd Annual Marine Corps Marathon Events in support of the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS). TAPS provides direct support to families who have been impacted by a death in the military regardless of geography or circumstance.
For those of you who know, last year I ran the USMC 10K in memory of my husband SSgt. Andrew Stevens. This year I am conquering the goal I set out last year and that is to run the FULL USMC Marathon this year. Please help me raise funds to go towards this amazing program! If you don't know our story, I lost my husband and my kids lost their dad is a tragic car accident on January 2, 2015 when we were home on leave. I was left with two young children ages of 5 and 2 at the time. Currently they are 8 and 4, they are my reasons for my continued strength. My husband was a dedicated Marine for almost 10 years before his life was taken way to soon. Tours in Iraq and Afganistan, he served as a Marine sercurity guard and had just finished up a three year tour as a USMC Drill Instructor. My goal since has to teach my kids that we will continue his legacy. I will show them the strength to conquer goals I have and to do so in his memory.
The funds I raise will flow directly into TAPS programming which supports these families through an amazing network of resources, seminars and publications. TAPS provides these services at no charge to survivors from all branches of the service, including Reserves and National Guard. TAPS’ programs and services are available not only for immediate family, but also for extended family and friends. Please help me honor our fallen heroes by supporting me in this effort. No donation is too big or too small.
