Amy Salzwedel's Run for Team TAPS at the 42nd Annual Marine Corps Marathon
As many of you know, I am running the Marine Corps Marathon on October 22, 2017, raising money for Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS). TAPS provides direct support to families who have been impacted by a death in the military regardless of geography or circumstance.
Todd and I have tragically lost dear friends in the military. We have seen firsthand how much of an impact this organization has supporting grieving loved ones and their families left behind. Being a military spouse, facing this type of tragedy is something I would never want to do. However, it is a reality for so many of our military families and should I ever have to face this, I am so thankful to know there is an organization like TAPS waiting on the other side of tragedy to help.
I would be so honored if you would partner with me and help me reach my goal in honoring our fallen heroes and supporting their loved ones. $5, $10, anything would be appreciated. NO amount is too small and every dollar will be put to great use with this organization. Donations can be made in honor of a fallen loved one, if you choose, and all donations are tax deductible.
Some of the things your TAPS donation helps with:
Military Survivor Seminars, Workshops, Retreats, and Children's Good Grief Camps
Crisis Intervention, Community Based Care, and Caseworker Assistance
Toll Free, Fully Activated, Helpline...24 Hours / 7 Days a Week
Online Community Website, Chat Room, Message Boards, and Forums
TAPS Quarterly Magazine and Other Educational Publications
Providing and facilitating a national military survivor peer support network to help support family, friends, and military personnel as they cope and recover
I am truly honored for your support towards this great organization! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
