48th Annual Marine Corps Marathon and 10k: Mr. Nicholas DiFederico

This October, Karen DiFederico and I will be participating in the Annual Marine Corps Marathon 10k in support of the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS). This will be Karen and my first attempt at the 10k since her knee surgery which unfortunately put her on the sideline.

Since 2008, TAPS has been a tremendous resource and over the years has provided my family with immeasurable support as we struggled through one of the most difficult times my family has encountered. Unfortunately, my family is not alone and there are numerous other families who have been impacted by the death of a loved one while overseas. I am humbled to be able to assist TAPS in providing those families with the same services and support that were offered to us.

The funds we raise will flow directly into TAPS programming which supports these families through an amazing network of resources, seminars and publications. TAPS provides these services at no charge to survivors from all branches of the service, including Reserves and National Guard. TAPS’ programs and services are available not only for immediate family, but also for extended family and friends. Please help us honor our fallen heroes by supporting us in this effort. No donation is too big or too small.
