This October, I will be participating in the Annual Marine Corps Marathon in support of the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS). TAPS provides direct support to families who have been impacted by a death in the military regardless of geography or circumstance. This is a cause that is near and dear to my heart. ♥ I am a survivor of a service related tragedy.


We lost my brother, USAF SSGT Justin Donaldson, on 01 OCT 2012. I was never aware of the many resources available to myself, my family or my friends. It was my mission to keep his memory alive while also coping with the grief. I have dedicated many miles and races in his honor. This year I am proud to support TAPS while creating awareness about this amazing organization. 

The funds I raise will flow directly into TAPS programming which supports these families through an amazing network of resources, seminars and publications. TAPS provides these services at no charge to survivors from all branches of the service, including Reserves and National Guard. TAPS’ programs and services are available not only for immediate family, but also for extended family and friends. Please help me honor Justin and all of our fallen heroes by supporting me in this effort.  No donation is too big or too small.
