Running In Honor of the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors!
This October, I will be running the Marine Corps Marathon in support of the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS). TAPS provides direct support to families who have been impacted by a death in the military regardless of geography or circumstance.
I first learned about TAPS through a friend and mentor, who suggested I volunteer at their 30th National Seminar over Memorial weekend. While there, I learned about the awesome work that they do and saw the positive impact that it had on the families there, so I decided that if I were going to run the Marine Corps Marathon again this year, I may as well do it for a great cause!
All donations will be used for TAPS programming which support families through an amazing network of resources, seminars and publications. TAPS provides these services at no charge to survivors from all branches of the service, including Reserves and National Guard. TAPS’ programs and services are available not only for immediate family, but also for extended family and friends.
You can find more information about the work TAPS does here: https://www.taps.org/.
No donation is too big or too small.
Thank you!
