I am participating in a special fundraiser in support of the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS). Since 1994, TAPS has provided compassionate care to all those grieving the loss of a military service member regardless of location or manner of their death. TAPS provides comfort & hope through a national peer support network & connection to grief resources, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at no cost to surviving families & loved ones of the deceased service member. The TAPS National Military Survivor Helpline is always available toll-free with loving support & resources at 800-959-TAPS (8277).

Part of the TAPS commitment to service members and their families includes advocating for improvements in programs & services provided by the Federal government through the Department of Defense (DoD), the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Education (DoED), Department of Labor (DOL), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), as well as State and local governments. TAPS also works to advance policy & legislation to strengthen the families of America’s fallen military heroes.

The funds I raise help TAPS programming which supports these families through an amazing network of resources, seminars and publications. TAPS provides these services at no charge to survivors from all branches of the service, including Reserves and National Guard. TAPS’ programs and services are available not only for immediate family, but also for extended family, partners, & friends.
