Team TAPS is about celebrating the lives of our heroes! When you join our team you not only get to challenge yourself with fitness goals but you do so in honor of the nation’s fallen heroes and for the purpose of supporting the loved ones they left behind. Team TAPS raises awareness and funds through Challenge, Commitment, and Compassion to benefit Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) programs helping surviving military families. Your fundraising efforts will make an enormous difference in the lives of the families of our fallen service members. In exchange for guaranteed entry to the race, Team TAPS asks each participant to meet the following fundraising obligation:

Disney Fairy Tale Challenge: $800 minimum*
Disney Princess Half Marathon: $600 minimum*
Disney Princess Enchanted 10K: $600 minimum*
Disney Princess 5K: $600 minimum*

If you already have entry to the race and wish to join Team TAPS, we ask that you commit to raising a minimum of $150. Please note that this option does NOT include entry to the race.

Please note that registration fees are paid to the runDisney and do not count toward your fundraising obligation. Any runner who does not meet his or her fundraising obligation by race weekend will be asked to cover the shortfall.

*Military survivors are encouraged, but not required to fundraise.

We are here to support you during your training and fundraising as you prepare for your race with Team TAPS.

Register here! Please DO NOT register through the runDisney website, as this may result in duplicate entries. Simply click on the tab on the top left hand side of this page to register with Team TAPS for your guaranteed entry. You will pay all race fees here on our registration website.

Registration fees include your guaranteed entry to the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend race(s), a Team TAPS signature race singlet/tech tee-shirt and other swag, and access to discounted hotel rooms and theme park tickets.

Runners booking their entry through a runDisney Charity are required to purchase a minimum Walt Disney® Travel Company (WDTC) package including:

• 2 Night Standard Room Accommodations at Disney's Pop Century Resort OR Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort
• 2-Day Magic Your Way (R) Base Ticket plus 1 Fun Visit

Rates at these two properties are discounted for runners and availability is limited. Other Disney Resorts may be booked at rack rate based on availability. Package cannot be combined with any other discount or promotion. Maximum standard room occupancy is 4 guests plus 1 infant. Disney Vacation Club members are exempt from the room requirement if room is booked using your points. Proof of Disney Vacation Club membership and proof of reservation must be submitted. The ticket requirement will still apply (exempt for Annual Passholders). Florida residents within a 90-mile radius of Walt Disney World® are permitted to book an optional 1-night stay with a minimum 1-day theme park ticket (exempt for Annual Passholders). Proof of Florida residency must be submitted.

Current Walt Disney World® Resort Annual Passholders may waive the ticket requirement with verification of the eligible annual pass. All guests in the room must be a current passholder to be eligible to waive the ticket requirement. Non-passholder guests must purchase the tickets required in the package.

Reservations for accommodations and tickets will be made through Team TAPS. A $200 deposit per room is required.

You can still join Team TAPS! Register at our website as Running for TAPS. Please note that to select the "Running for TAPS" you must already have a CONFIRMED entry to the race; this registration type does not include race entry.

We take pride in carrying the names and photos of fallen heroes on our backs to the finish line and knowing they are with us every step of the way! Running in memory of a fallen hero is at the heart of Team TAPS. If you do not have a personal connection to a fallen hero, we offer the option to wear a designation that proclaims you are honoring all fallen heroes. We can also select a hero for you and even connect you with their family. Many families have already given permission for their loved ones to be honored in this way by members of Team TAPS. For many of our Team members, this connection has enhanced their race experience and even their fundraising initiatives. For the families, it reminds them their hero is never forgotten and the life and sacrifice of their hero still honored. This is truly a rewarding outreach!

You can select to have a hero be chosen for you when you register. Prior to the race, we will send you some information on your fallen hero and their family and begin the process of introductions via email. You will be provided a photo of this hero to wear on your back during the race.

The website is yours to truly make your own! You can personalize it with your own text and photos about why you are inspired to run and even about your hero. Many of our runners like to post a photo of their fallen hero to show their donors who they will be honoring. The website streamlines the fundraising process by allowing you to upload email contacts direct to the site and send requests using one of our templates or create your own personal templates. The site will also help you track who has made donations in support of your run and allow you to send thank you emails. You will also be able to cut and paste your page’s URL direct onto your social media platforms in order to solicit support as well.
