Nicholas Albaeck's 2025 Berlin Marathon Fundraising Page
On September 21, 2025, I will be running the Berlin Marathon in support of the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), and to honor my dad, Sergeant Jacob Albaeck, who gave his life for our country.
I have been looking for a marathon to run for a while, but I wanted to find the right one, and this is it. Since my dad's passing in 2019, TAPS has been very supportive of my family and I want to be able to give back by raising money so they can support other families like mine. Team TAPS runners have the option to be matched with a fallen hero to honor on their run, and when I found out I could run a marathon in honor of my dad by wearing his name and picture on my bib, I was sold.
The funds I raise will flow directly into TAPS programming which supports families like mine through an amazing network of resources, seminars, and publications. TAPS offers these services free of charge to survivors from all branches of the military, including the Reserves and National Guard. TAPS’ programs and services are available not only for immediate family, but also for extended family and friends.
Please help me honor our fallen heroes by supporting me in this effort. No donation is too big or too small.
Thank you!
