2019 Army Ten-Miler

Joey's Joggernauts

Todd and I are running the Army Ten Miler (yes, ten miles!) in support of the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) in honor of Joey. TAPS helps families who have been impacted by a death in the military regardless of geography or circumstance. Since we lost Joey, TAPS has been a great help. They quickly sent a comfort box filled with helpful information and other items. I was also assigned a mentor who has continually checked in with me, especially on important dates that may be hard.

Each comfort box costs approximately $50 for TAPS to assemble and send to families experiencing a loss. TAPS also provides frequent online chats, seminars, retreats, wellness weekends and much more. TAPS funds all these services, and more that I am overlooking, through donations.

TAPS’ programs and services are available not only for immediate family, but also for extended family and friends. Please help us honor our fallen heroes by supporting us in this effort. No donation is too big or too small.

Thank you!
