26.2 for TAPS, Honor of SSG Joshua Leonard
This year, I am honored to run the Chicago Marathon in memory of SSG Joshua Leonard, a proud member of the 213th Signal Company, Pennsylvania Army National Guard. As part of my journey, I am partnering with TAPS (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors) to raise funds and awareness for an incredible cause.
TAPS is a national nonprofit organization that provides compassionate care, resources, and support to families of America’s fallen military heroes. Since 1994, TAPS has been a lifeline for grieving families, offering hope, healing, and connection to those who have experienced the profound loss of a loved one who served in the Armed Forces.
Running this marathon is my way of honoring SSG Leonard’s legacy and the sacrifices made by all those who serve. It is also a chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of surviving families who carry the weight of loss.
Every dollar raised will go directly to TAPS, helping provide grief counseling, peer support, and programs that bring comfort and community to survivors. No donation is too small – every contribution makes a difference in honoring the fallen and supporting the living.
I am incredibly grateful for your generosity and encouragement as I take on this challenge. Your support means the world to me, to TAPS, and to the families who rely on their services.
Thank you for standing with me and with the families of our nation’s heroes.
Let's Run for Remembrance, Resilience, and Help.
With much love,
Jon Knight
